- 2 carrots
- ¼ celery root
- 2 large potatoes
- 1 onion
- 100 g toasted walnuts / almonds
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon chopped dill
- ½ teaspoon barbecue seasoning mix
- salt and pepper
- 150 ml oil
Roast the nuts in the oven at 150 degrees. for 10 min then chop. Peel onion and finely chop it. Put 3 tablespoons oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion. Take the pan off the heat and set aside.
Peel the carrot, celery root and potatoes and grate. Mix with the nuts and onion and add salt, pepper, BBQ seasoning, eggs, dill and wheat flour. Wet hands and shape mixture to approx. 5 cm in diameter and 1 cm thick burgers. Put remaining oil in a frying pan, fry the burgers on both sides over medium heat.
Serve in warm toasted buns with ketchup, mustard, salad, tomatoes, pickles and fried potatoes or as it is with mashed potatoes and a nice salad.
